I can guarantee my soaps are free of palm oil, and instead created with luxurious dollops of olive oil and coconut oil, making them gentle on the skin and kind to the environment. I add butters derived from cocoa beans, shea nuts, or mango and kokum seeds, which give a lovely creaminess to the lather.

Earthen Myrra is a purveyor of natural, handmade skin-care products based in Bengaluru. As the woman behind the enterprise, I take pride in offering soaps, scrubs and bath salts that leave you feeling pampered and revitalised.
Our soaps are either unscented or carry the aroma of pure, high quality, essential oils. Any colouring they have is natural, or comes from natural clay or plant-based colorants.
Many of our soaps are also completely plant-based or vegan, free of any animal products, which makes them particularly eco-friendly and ethically sound. Other lines of Earthen Myrra soaps may include goat milk, making them rich in fatty acids that help exfoliate the skin, or have honey, which is a blessing for people with dry or damaged skin. Those products will always be carefully labeled, so you can choose what’s right for you.
Our goal with Earthen Myrra is to create products that lead to zero waste. Even the packaging we use is reusable and biodegradable.

About Me
My interest in home remedies and natural beauty products stems from my upbringing.
My mother, a homemaker, brought up four daughters while accompanying my father on his assignments into the hinterlands of Karnataka. She was my first teacher in using herbal remedies and home-made treatments for skin- and hair-care. Her guiding principle was that what goes on the surface of a body must be as good as what goes inside the body. She was against our consuming store-bought products, whether it was food or cosmetics.
So beauty out of the kitchen was not a new idea for me. But as an adult, I drifted away from homemade remedies and began buying branded products marketed with designer packaging. It took me a while to find my way back to my core values, but having a daughter of my own helped me remember the joy of using natural products.
I set out on my own journey, initially exploring the old recipes handed down by my mother. Over time, I equipped myself with information through online research, courses and certification. And I learnt the art of making natural, cold-processed soaps in a traditional manner. Initially, the soaps I made were for friends and family.
Now, I would like to offer my handmade, natural, eco-friendly skincare products to others. I hope you find them as nourishing for your soul as it is for your body.

Our Process
All my soaps are made using the traditional cold-process method, and take 4-6 weeks to cure before they are ready to use. They are made in small batches, and can be customized.
Making soaps the old-fashioned way leaves the naturally occurring glycerin in the soap intact, and helps skin stay hydrated. The packaging I use is also made from reusable or biodegradable materials.
